Approach: My approach to therapy is adaptive, strengths-based, and trauma-informed. I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches because I recognize that no single approach works for everyone. My work incorporates elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, mindfulness, and other approaches depending on your needs, strengths, and goals.
I have both witnessed and experienced what it can be like to carry overwhelming or confusing emotions without knowing how to understand or navigate them. This has shaped my approach to therapy and my belief that our feelings make sense within the context of our experiences. I believe that getting curious about our emotions, even the difficult ones, can help us better understand ourselves and create space for meaningful change.
Areas of Focus: While I welcome individuals with a variety of concerns, my areas of interest include:
- Anxiety and stress
- Depression and emotional well-being
- Trauma and past experiences
- Relationship and interpersonal concerns
- Self-esteem and self-exploration
- Identity exploration and LGBTQIA+ support
- Life transitions and personal growth

Hi, my name is Maddie, and I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. I believe we all face challenges, and having a space where you feel supported and understood can make a meaningful difference in how you move through them.
In my work I value a humanistic approach that sees each person as a whole, honours their unique experiences, and meets them with empathy and acceptance. I believe that feeling supported and having our fundamental needs met creates a stronger foundation for navigating life’s challenges and meeting ourselves with honesty. In the busyness of everyday life, how often do we truly give ourselves the space to ask what we want, what we need, and how we are really doing? Asking these harder questions can help us move beyond simply getting through life and toward understanding what it means to move from surviving life to living it with greater connection to ourselves and what matters to us.
Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, wanting a change, struggling with distress, navigating a major life transition, or simply wanting to better understand yourself, I hope to provide a space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered throughout your journey.
Education: I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Guelph. I am also a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).
Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me. I look forward to the opportunity to connect with you!
