Approach: Recognizing that we all have unique goals, I draw from evidence-based therapeutic modalities to support the needs of each individual. I incorporate tenets of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Mindful Self-Compassion, and Somatic-Informed Therapy.
My work is relational and trauma-informed, focusing on how our connection in therapy creates safety and space for curiosity, exploration, and greater understanding over time. I am passionate about exploring the intersection between the mind, body, culture, and systemic factors. As a therapist, my role is to cultivate a compassionate, non-judgmental relationship where we can leverage your inner strengths and resources, while also gaining a deeper understanding of the experiences and circumstances that might have you feeling stuck.

Hi, I’m Alex, a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). I believe that we all deserve to have a safe space where we can be empowered through kindness, understanding, and curiosity. I view therapy as a practice of creating room for reflection, discovery, and healing; ultimately helping people to develop a more connected and grounded sense of self.
Drawing on professional and lived experience, I support clients with fostering self-compassion and self-worth, becoming more attuned with internal states and emotions, exploring personal strengths, practicing mindfulness, setting boundaries and asserting needs, moving towards personal values, and understanding the impact of context and systemic factors. It is a privilege to join people on this transformative, meaningful journey and I approach this work honouring the courage and vulnerability that it takes to be here.
Education: I am a member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. I completed my undergraduate training at McMaster University and earned a Bachelor of Science (Kinesiology) as well as a Bachelor of Health Sciences (Physician Assistant) during my time there.
Thank you for reading my biography. I would love to meet you and learn more about you!
