Approach: In my practice, I use an integrative and client-centered approach that aims to focus on each individual’s unique needs. I primarily draw from Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). My work is grounded in trauma-informed and anti-oppressive principles, creating a space where clients feel safe, heard, and respected. My hope is to help people re-author their stories, strengthen self-compassion, and foster resilience through life’s circumstances and challenges.

My name is Michael, and I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). I believe that therapy is a sacred space where we are given the opportunity to connect with ourselves on a deeper level. My work is uniquely informed by my years of experience in both social services and in my role as a first responder, where I supported individuals and families through moments of crisis, trauma, and profound loss. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of the realities faced by those working on the front lines and have shaped my passion for walking alongside people as they navigate life’s most challenging circumstances.

I am also deeply committed to supporting clients as they navigate the complex relationship between faith, spirituality, and personal identity. For some, this means reconnecting with faith or finding comfort in spiritual practices. For others, it involves making sense of past experiences of religious harm or control—sometimes within, and sometimes entirely outside of, a spiritual lens. Wherever clients find themselves on that spectrum, my goal is to provide space that feels safe, validating, and authentic to them.
