Therapist in Kitchner

Amanda Jaloba (she/her), RP(Q)

Providing in-person, online and phone sessions (Accepting new clients)

Approach: My approach is grounded in Psychodynamic and Narrative Therapy and integrates Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) informed practices. I work from a trauma-informed, attachment-focused lens, exploring how early experiences and relationships shape present-day thoughts, emotions, and behavioural patterns, while also building practical skills for emotional regulation, coping, and growth.

I take a holistic, mind–body approach, recognizing that the nervous system and brain are deeply interconnected. By exploring what the body is physically doing in moments of stress, overwhelm, or disconnection—and understanding why these responses occur—we can develop greater self-awareness and make more intentional, meaningful changes.

Areas of Focus:

  • Anxiety & Stress Management
  • Depression
  • Life Transitions
  • Relationship Challenges & Interpersonal Skills
  • Trauma & Healing
  • Self-Esteem & Self-Discovery
  • Eating Disorders & Body Image
  • Mind–Body Connection
  • Spiritual Growth & Meaning

I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel seen, heard, and supported. Together, we will explore what has brought you to therapy with curiosity and compassion, moving at a pace that feels right for you. As we work together, we will gently uncover patterns that may be keeping you stuck and begin to create space for healing, growth, and lasting change in a way that honours your individual experience.

I believe in each person’s capacity for growth and meaningful change, and I will work alongside you to support that process in a way that feels safe, collaborative, and authentic to you.

Education: I hold a Master of Arts in Spiritual Care & Psychotherapy from Martin Luther College University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Wilfrid Laurier University.
